Red, White, and Blue
Oh dear, oh dear, what do we have here?
Billions of white lies whispered to the ignorant ear.
Crystal clear the picture I see,
A pair of white knights fighting gallantly.
Until one slips from their moral compass,
And their skin turns blue from the entailing numbness.
It’s for justice he said ignoring the red,
That coats his hands and stains his head.
Misled it seems we all are,
By the thought that good is what got us so far.
We’ve become destroyed by our very own hearts,
Turning blue from the white that once set us apart.
It seems we all have been outsmarted,
For breathing isn’t living if you’ve become cold hearted.
-Reflection of pride.
